BankAmerica Names Coulter’s Successor: Michael J. Murray will head the U.S. Corporate and International groups, responsible for the bank’s large corporate, financial institution and government clients around the world. Murray, 51, is currently group executive vice president in charge of the company’s Chicago-based U.S. Corporate Group. In the new post, he will report to David A. Coulter, who previously had the position and was named president of BankAmerica Corp. on Aug. 8. Coulter will succeed Richard M. Rosenberg as chairman and chief executive on Jan. 1. Murray joined BankAmerica with its September, 1994, acquisition of Continental Bank Corp. Before that, he was vice chairman and head of corporate banking for Chicago-based Continental.
