PANORAMA CITY — A 3-year-old boy merrily jumping up and down on a bed in a room overlooking the street bounced out the window and fell two stories Wednesday night, but was hospitalized in good condition, officials said.
The child fell from a second-floor apartment in the 8400 block of Willis Avenue about 6:20 p.m., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey. He was taken back inside the building by a witness who later called for help.
Paramedics took the child to Valley Presbyterian Hospital, where doctors said he was in good condition, Humphrey said. LAPD officers also responded to the call.
“It’s just another reminder of how playtime can turn to tragedy,” Humphrey said.
