Catfish Are Taking Over Lake Casitas

Lake Casitas may be famous for its trophy-sized largemouth bass, but in the heat of summer another species has taken center stage: catfish.
The fish, according to a lake spokesman, got a late start but have finally moved into the shallows to feed and are relatively easy to catch.
Lee Henderson of Ventura had one of the most impressive stringers, with six fish totaling 56 pounds, the largest a 17-pounder.
