SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO : 7 Schools to Start Sept. 11, Others Sept. 7
Students at seven schools in the Capistrano Unified School District will get a couple extra days of summer vacation, but all others, following the customary schedule, will begin classes Sept. 7.
The seven schools that start Sept. 11 are: Concordia and Ole Hanson elementary schools in San Clemente; Richard Henry Dana Elementary in Dana Point; Hidden Hills Elementary in Laguna Niguel; San Juan Elementary in San Juan Capistrano; Marco Forster Middle School in San Juan Capistrano, and Serra High School in San Juan Capistrano.
The schools will be holding staff development days Sept. 7 and 8, district spokeswoman Jacqueline Price said.
Staffs of the district’s 36 schools have a choice of when they want to use their allotment of such days, Price said. Three of the district’s schools are on year-round schedules and already in session.
On Friday, Marco Forster Middle School will use its staff development day to host an orientation for students.
