Fisons to Sell 2 Units: Hampton, N.H.-based Fisher Scientific International Inc. will pay Fisons $310 million in cash for the distribution businesses within the British drug company’s laboratory supplies division, the companies said. Fisher, the oldest and largest U.S. provider of scientific instruments, equipment and supplies, said the deal will increase its annual sales to about $2 billion and boost annual pretax profit by more than $30 million by 1997. The company also said it expects to take one-time cash and non-cash charges of $40 million to $45 million in the second half of the year and an additional $20 million to $25 million in 1996, as part of a previously announced restructuring.
