HUNTINGTON BEACH : Sale to Raise Funds for Council on Aging

A rummage and bake sale today will raise money for the city’s Council on Aging, which supports a number of senior programs, including Meals on Wheels.
Sam Thomason, special events director for the city’s Michael E. Rodgers Seniors Center, said the event will also be an opportunity for senior citizens who are not familiar with the center to find out about its services, programs and activities.
She said 24 booths will offer for sale a variety of items from clothing to household goods.
The sale will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the center, 1706 Orange Ave.
