Allen Recall Move
* Re “Outrageous Move to Recall Allen,” editorial, June 15:
The Times is telling us we should support the traitorous actions of Assembly Speaker Doris Allen. Times editors have a lot of nerve giving advice to Orange County Republicans. You’ve spent decades tearing down everything we believe in. You support tax hike after tax hike and reject efforts to keep those hard-earned dollars from going to illegal aliens. You brushed aside criticisms of Treasurer Bob Citron until he’d lost $1.7 billion of our money, then have the chutzpah to demand we vote to raise our own taxes. Advice from The Times is a poison pill Orange County taxpayers shouldn’t swallow.
Putting a Republican face on a corrupt liberal political machine doesn’t change a thing. Allen’s constituents will reject this charade and recall her. We’re tired of back-room deals.
