ANAHEIM : Firemen to Heat Up the Ice in ‘Olympics’

Amateur hockey teams competed Monday and will face off again today at Glacial Garden Ice Arena as part of the California Firemen’s Summer Olympics. Proceeds will support the Disney GOALS hockey program, which serves underprivileged children in Anaheim.
The Anaheim Heat, a team of Orange County firefighters and police officers, will take on the Orange County Red Wings from the county Fire Authority at 7:30 p.m. today.
The games also feature silent auctions, door prizes and appearances by sports celebrities. Admission is $5 for those 5 or older, and free for those 4 and younger.
Glacial Garden Ice Arena is at 1000 E. Cerritos Ave. in Anaheim.
