CRENSHAW : Kiwanis to Honor Black Veterans
The Kiwanis Club of Angeles Mesa is honoring several black veterans of foreign wars during a ceremony Tuesday.
Among those honored will be Celes King, a longtime community activist and Tuskegee Airmen veteran; George Thomas, onetime commander of the Sammy Davis Jr. Post 784, and members of the 761st Black Panthers Tank Battalion. Many other Tuskegee Airmen pilots and black Marine, Army and Air Force veterans will be recognized.
