AND ONE MORE THING: The San Diego Sheriff’s Department officials who recommended the cancellation of Pearl Jam’s June 26-27 shows at the Del Mar Fair are one bunch of real hep cats. Check out this description of the band from a briefing report:

“Pearl Jam, an ‘alternative rock’ band, is extremely popular in this country and in many others. Their concerts appeal to the teenage and young adult ‘hip hop’ crowd and the music tends to focus on issues of ‘abuse, power and rage.’ ”

Hey, it forgot to mention that they also swivel their hips in a suggestive manner.
