WEST HOLLYWOOD : Parking Structure Project Breaks Ground

The city will celebrate the construction of its first municipal parking structure with a groundbreaking ceremony today.
A three-level parking structure at 8383 Santa Monica Blvd. will add 170 much-needed parking spaces and 8,000 square feet of retail space.
A building on the site will be demolished. Construction of the parking structure is scheduled to begin in late August and to be complete by spring, 1996.
A celebration including food, balloons and raffle prizes will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the site.
