With Three Stocked Lakes, Trout Bonanza Expected
Trout fishing at Irvine Lake is rated “hot” by lake personnel, and it figures to get even hotter, not only there but at Corona and Santa Ana River Lakes as well.
Three tons of German brown trout, trucked down from Mt. Lassen Trout Farms in Northern California, will be stocked in the three lakes this week.
The fish, which will join the trophy-sized rainbows already in the lakes, will average a little more than a pound apiece.
