Irvine Pasta Maker Reports Net Loss

Nona Morelli’s II Inc., an Irvine maker of fresh pasta and Italian food products and holding company for a group of leisure and entertainment businesses, posted a net loss of $530,782, or 6 cents a share, for the third fiscal quarter ended March 31. That contrasts with profit of $13,389, or less than a cent a share, for the corresponding period last year. Revenue rose 53% to $813,886 from $531,512. For the nine-month period, the company reported a net loss of $1.6 million, or 23 cents a share, down from the year-earlier net loss of $2.7 million, or 23 cents a share. Revenue increased 95% to $3.9 million from $2 million.
