College Seeks Computers to Refurbish
Students enrolled in the computer maintenance and repair program at Pasadena City College are looking for used IBM-compatible, DOS computers to refurbish for use in schools in the Pasadena Unified School District.
The new program fits into existing curriculum in the Engineering and Technology Department of the college and is designed to prepare city college students for technical careers, while helping out local schools at a time when state funding for school equipment is scarce.
Funded by a grant of $54,000 in program funds, and donated equipment from a local foundation, the recycling program will also accept keyboards, monitors and other computer parts.
For more information, call the Engineering and Technology Department at (818) 585-7267.
