New Wal-Mart Store to Create 200 Jobs

More than 200 new jobs are expected in the City of Industry this fall when Wal-Mart opens a 131,000-square-foot store near the Pomona (60) Freeway.
The store, using technology provided by Southern California Edison, is expected to operate on half the energy consumption that a less advanced facility would use, company officials said.
Wal-Mart and Edison officials call the new facility an “environmental demonstration store” and say it will feature solar heating, electric vehicles and an environmental and energy efficiency education center.
