Cadbury Building Chocolate Factory in Russia: The international candy and beverage company said it is building the factory near St. Petersburg, catering to Russians’ taste for Western candy. Construction of the Cadbury Schweppes factory, at a cost of about $118 million, has already started and should be completed in the second half of 1996. Russia is Europe’s third-largest confectionery market, after Germany and Britain. Since 1992, Cadbury has built up its presence in Russia through exports.
