Body Likely That of Glendale Man

A decomposed body discovered this weekend in Marina del Rey by a Los Angeles County lifeguard is believed to be that of a Glendale man who disappeared while boogie-boarding at Venice Beach.
Lance Dawkins, 36, was last seen April 8. He was boogie-boarding in rough water at Venice Beach and was believed trapped by strong rip currents in the area.
Officials with the Los Angeles County coroner’s office say the earliest they may be able to positively identify the body by dental records is this afternoon.
