THOUSAND OAKS : Show by 8 Groups to Display Local Talent
Eight of Thousand Oaks’ visual art groups are teaming up for a special showing of paintings and sculptures by Conejo Valley artists, on display throughout May.
The Arts Council of the Conejo Valley show opens with a reception Friday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery, 2331-A Borchard Road in Newbury Park.
More than 60 works will be on display, most of which are for sale. The gallery is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.
Local student musicians will perform at the gallery at 2 p.m. Sunday and May 21.
Also, oil painter Eric Slayton will lead a three-day workshop on painting, from May 8 to 10 at the gallery. Call 499-8982 for enrollment information.
Gallery admission is free.
