In Century League tennis:

Canyon 16, Orange 2--Travis Hodge swept at singles, 7-5, 6-2, 6-0, and Jerry Laio and Kevin Sabet swept at doubles, 6-4, 6-3, 6-0 for Canyon (9-6, 6-3).

Villa Park 15, El Modena 3--Ryan Hollis swept, 6-3, 6-0, 6-1 and B.K. Chang won, 6-2, 6-0, 6-1 for 10th-ranked Villa Park (16-3, 7-2).

In the Empire League:

Katella 12, Kennedy 6--Blake Enenbach (6-1, 6-1, 6-0) and David Fitzgerald (6-1, 6-1, 6-2) swept for Katella (6-11, 2-6).

In the Orange League:

Brea Olinda 17, Western 1--Madhav Boddula swept a singles, 6-0, 6-0, 6-2, for Brea Olinda (16-2, 8-0), ranked sixth in Division III.

In Sea View League softball:

Woodbridge 10, Newport Harbor 0--Christy Robitaille (15-4) and Jackie Sukiasian combined on a one-hitter for Woodbridge (17-8, 6-1).

In the Sunset League:

Los Alamitos 2, Esperanza 1 (9)--Cyndi Tredway singled with two outs and the bases loaded in the ninth for host for host Los Alamitos (16-4, 4-2). Jennifer Slaney had a fourth-inning home run for Los Alamitos.
