PREP NOTES : Los Amigos Water Polo Coach Fischbeck Resigns

Eric Fischbeck has resigned as Los Amigos water polo coach, Athletic Director Dave Auxier said Monday.
Fischbeck, who has been coach since 1988, resigned for personal reasons. He led the Lobos to the Southern Section Division IV title in 1992. They were runners-up in 1993.
Los Amigos won three Garden Grove League titles under Fischbeck.

Mater Dei boys’ basketball assistant coach Tom Lewis has applied for an assistant coaching position with the UC Irvine men’s program.
Lewis, a former Orange County player of the year, said he was one of 25 applicants for the job. He has been a Monarch assistant the last two seasons. He was an assistant at Bellflower St. John Bosco for one season.

Marc Lamb, a Servite High graduate in 1990, signed a two-year, free-agent contract with the the Jets to be a long-snapper. Lamb played offensive and defensive line for three years at Montana.

Ed Ratledge, a senior right-side hitter at Fountain Valley, has signed a letter of intent to play men’s volleyball at Long Beach State.
Ratledge, 6 feet 8, was also recruited by UCLA.

Amber Filbeck, a senior at El Toro, has signed a letter of intent to play women’s volleyball next year at North Carolina Charlotte.
Filbeck was a 6-foot middle blocker and outside hitter for the Chargers.
