Group Will Honor Eco-Friendly Firms
Ventura County businesses and community organizations that have taken a leadership role in protecting the environment are encouraged to submit applications for local recognition awards.
The fourth annual Excellence in Environmental Leadership awards is sponsored by the Ventura County Economic Development Assn.
The purpose of the awards is to recognize those companies that have made significant strides to protect the environment by implementing recycling, conservation and other programs, officials said.
Any business or organization involved in environmental management, sales, or environmental-compliance services are invited to submit applications describing their programs or services to the economic development association by June 9.
