Mobil, Raytheon to Build Power Plant: The companies signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Energy and Electricity to build the 600-megawatt electric power plant near Ho Chi Minh City, in what would be an important step in developing the Southeast Asian country’s natural gas industry. Fairfax, Va.-based Mobil Corp. will supply natural gas to power the generators, and Lexington, Mass.-based Raytheon Co. will design and build them. A final contract must still be signed.
