The city of Santa Paula is looking for an assistant to the city administrator, a position vacated earlier this month.
Candidates applying for the job should have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in public administration, and at least two years experience working in government, said Arnold Dowdy, Santa Paula’s city manager.
A master’s degree can substitute for a year of government work, he said.
The position became available when assistant to the city administrator, Sheryl Trent, left the city to become the assistant county administrator in Siskiyou County in Northern California.
Those interested in the position have until Friday to apply, Dowdy said.
