PLACENTIA : Hazardous Waste Seminar Scheduled
- Share via
The city will offer a free seminar Wednesday on the dangers of household hazardous waste.
Residents are invited to learn more about how to use, store and dispose of hazardous materials, what and how containers may be reused, non-hazardous alternatives to some products, and laws regarding the disposal of household hazardous waste.
Disposal hours at Orange County hazardous waste facilities have been limited since the county went bankrupt in December. The facilities are open only on Saturdays and only the first 100 cars are accepted at any one facility.
Speakers will be Placentia Police Lt. Chuck Babcock and Battalion Chief Bruce Hunt of the Orange County Fire Authority.
The seminar will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the City Council chambers at Placentia City Hall, 401 E. Chapman Ave. It is free, but registration is required. For more information or registration, call (714) 993-8117.
