SIGNAL HILL : New Cable Channel to Be Called KHIL
The City Council has selected KHIL as the name of the city’s new cable television channel.
KHIL was one of 96 suggestions submitted by residents in the city’s recent “Name Our Channel” contest for Channel 61, which is used primarily to televise the council’s bimonthly meetings.
Don Arat, one of 20 residents who suggested the KHIL call letters, won a drawing and will receive free cable TV service for a year from CVI, the cable operator serving Signal Hill and Long Beach.
