Pateadores Win at Dallas Cup

The Mission Viejo Pateadores boys’ under-16 soccer team defeated the Delco Aztecs, the Pennsylvania champion from Swarthmore, 1-0, in the first game of the Dallas Cup XVI.
After a scoreless first half, Wade Fraser, an El Toro High sophomore, hit a crossing pass to Jeff Jensen, a Woodbridge sophomore, who headed it into the goal 16 minutes into the second half.
The Pateadores outshot the Aztecs, 19-6. Brenton Junge of Trabuco Hills had three saves for Mission Viejo. Dan Shapero had four for the Delco Aztecs.
