Local Lakes Providing Some Sierra-Like Trout
With the Eastern Sierra trout season close at hand, some anglers are getting in practice at some of the local lakes--and doing quite well at that.
The biggest fish of the week: a 15-pound 2-ounce trout pulled from Irvine Lake.
The best bites have been at Irvine, Corona and Santa Ana River lakes, which is not surprising considering that they are among the most heavily-stocked lakes in the Southland.
