Jacobs Gets Design Job for Newspaper: The Pasadena-based firm said it will provide architectural and engineering services for the design of a $72-million, 180,000-square-foot office and production facility for the Ledger, a paper in Lakeland, Fla. Construction is scheduled to begin by the middle of this year and will be done in steps to allow the newspaper to operate during construction. The work is expected to be completed in the last quarter of 1997. Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. provides consulting, engineering, design, architectural, environmental and other services worldwide.
