BEVERLY HILLS : Chase Pleads No Contest to Drunk Driving Charge
Entertainer Chevy Chase was ordered Friday to enter a 90-day alcohol education program after the actor’s lawyer entered a no contest plea for his client to a misdemeanor drunken driving charge.
Beverly Hills Municipal Court Commissioner Hugh Bobys also fined the 51- year-old Chase $966 and put him on three years probation for driving while intoxicated Jan. 26.
Attorney Zia Modabber entered the no contest plea on behalf of Chase, who was not required to appear in court for the hearing. The proceeding, originally set for April 6, was moved up to Friday.
