SIMI VALLEY : Poor TV Reception Expected for Week
Along with longer days, a week of poorer television reception is in store for some cable viewers.
Comcast Cablevision in Simi Valley announced Monday that starting Thursday, the sun’s position in the sky might give cable customers short periods of poor reception.
During this time of year, the company’s satellites are temporarily in line with the sun during the afternoon, which throws off the television signal, said Lisa Powers, company spokeswoman.
The interference should only last about 15 minutes during the early afternoon. The signals should clear again by March 9, Powers said.
