Suspect Jailed in Fatal Car Crash
A North Hollywood man who turned himself into police has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident, the California Highway Patrol said Saturday.
Kevin Ronald Kling, 32, of North Hollywood was being held at the Van Nuys jail on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, said CHP Officer Rob Lund.
The accident occurred Feb. 4 on the southbound side of the Hollywood Freeway just south of Oxnard Street, the CHP said.
Arbi Yeganian, 33, of Glendale was traveling on the freeway about 11:45 p.m. when a car sideswiped his vehicle, which plunged down an embankment.
Yeganian died at the scene. His wife, Ruzanna, received minor injuries.
Kling surrendered Thursday at the West Valley office of the CHP.
He is being held without bail, Lund said.
