BASEBALL : CSLA Powers Past Chico State, 11-5
Freshman catcher Brian Chwan went two-for-four with three runs batted in as Cal State Los Angeles defeated Chico State, 11-5, in a nonconference game Thursday at Cal State Los Angeles.
Chwan hit a solo home run--his first of the season--in the bottom of the sixth inning to extend the Golden Eagle’s lead to 6-0.
Left fielder Anthony Canela went two-for-five with two RBIs for Chico State.
First baseman Robert Berns, who was two-for-four with two RBIs, singled in a run to left field to give the Golden Eagles a 5-0 lead in the third.
