WALNUT : Volunteers Sought to Patrol City Sites
Senior citizens are needed for the city’s volunteer patrol program at the Walnut Sheriff’s Station.
Volunteers will assist deputies in patrolling parks, residential areas, businesses and construction sites. They will also aid in code enforcement investigations.
Applicants must be age 50 or older and be willing to work one six-hour shift per week.
They must possess a valid California driver’s license, have a good driving record and have no felony convictions. Suitable applicants will be fingerprinted and must pass a background check and interviews.
