Rockwell Seal Beach Has a New Senior Vice President
Clayton M. Jones, 45, has been appointed senior vice president, government operations and international for Rockwell International Corp. in Seal Beach. He was also elected a corporate officer. He succeeds James A. McDivitt, who plans to retire April 1. McDivitt, a former astronaut, joined Rockwell in 1981. Jones will be based at the firm’s Washington office, where he has served as vice president, aerospace, government affairs and marketing since 1988.
* Stu Clark has been named group vice president of operations for Los Angeles and Ventura counties at Waste Management Inc., a subsidiary of Oak Brook, Ill.-based WMX Technologies. He will oversee waste collection, landfill operations, recycling and composting services. Clark will remain a director of Rail Cycle, a regional comprehensive rail-haul recycling and solid waste management and disposal operation.
* Mattel Inc. has named Francesca Luzuriaga executive vice president-finance, with responsibility for the corporation’s financial functions worldwide. Luzuriaga, 40, joined the El Segundo-based toy firm in 1982 as a senior planning specialist. Most recently she served as executive vice president of marketing services, finance and administration. She succeeds Michael McCafferty, 56, who retired.
