Explosive Devices at Store Still a Mystery
- Share via
Explosive devices attached to a Thousand Oaks market’s front windows and wedged under its front door handle are still puzzling Ventura County Sheriff’s Department investigators.
In an effort to ferret out further information and develop new leads in the case, Ventura County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that identifies the perpetrator or perpetrators.
After closing the store on Aug. 17 of last year, an employee at the North Oaks Market & Liquor Store at 1086 Avenida de los Arboles discovered two devices taped to the windows, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
On Dec. 30, the store’s owner discovered another cylindrical device placed under the front door handle. The device did not explode in either instance.
Anyone with information to offer is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 494-TALK. Callers may remain anonymous.
