Weekend Box Office : ‘Legends’ Refuses to Fall Back

Despite competition from the Super Bowl, TriStar Pictures’ “Legends of the Fall” continued to outpace the rest of the pack, capturing first place with $6.3 million in ticket sales.

The weekend’s highest opening film was “Highlander: The Final Dimension,” which took in $5.6 million for second place on the weekly box-office chart.

* “Miami Rhapsody,” a new comedy starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Antonio Banderas and Mia Farrow, grossed more than $71,000 at two theaters.
