Northridge Wins in League Debut
SAN LUIS OBISPO — Cal State Northridge made only one field goal in the last six minutes, but still managed to hold off Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, 76-69, Friday night before 1,124 at Mott Gym in the first American West Conference men’s basketball game.
Northridge (4-10) saw a 10-point lead all but evaporate in the final nine minutes, as Cal Poly pulled within 71-69 with 44 seconds to play.
Northridge responded with five points in the final 36 seconds.
