Santa Margarita 2, Corona del Mar 1--Erin Beattie’s goal in the 75th minute broke a 1-1 tie for second-ranked Santa Margarita (14-4-1, 3-0).
In the Century League:
El Modena 2, Orange 0--Nicole Terry scored her eighth and ninth goals of the season, including one from 30 yards for eighth-ranked El Modena (14-4, 4-0).
Canyon 3, Foothill 0--Carrie Anderson scored two goals, her fourth and fifth of the week, to lead host and 10th-ranked Canyon (9-1-2, 3-1). Catherine Rudat also scored for the Comanches.
Villa Park 8, Santa Ana Valley 0--Susan Mendez scored three goals and Angela Martin two for Villa Park (7-2, 1-2) which led, 4-0, at the half.
In the Empire League:
Cypress 2, Katella 1--Michelle Woiemberghe scored both goals for host Cypress (11-2-1, 3-0).
In the Freeway League:
El Dorado 2, Kennedy 0--Kelly Wilhite scored on a penalty kick and Kristin Bennett on a cross from Kirsta Kudron in the second half for El Dorado (1-0-1 in league).
Troy 2, Sonora 1--Nickie Parchan’s goal (her second of the game) in the 58th minute broke a 1-1 tie for Troy (8-6-1, 5-0).
In the Garden Grove League:
Pacifica 15, Los Amigos 0--Alaana Brown had four goals, Terri Emmonds had three and Amanda Freed and Sara Brown each had two for Pacifica (5-3, 5-0), which led, 9-0, at halftime.
In the Orange League:
Brea Olinda 6, Magnolia 0--Alli Mauzey scored two goals for host Brea Olinda (10-2-4, 2-0-1). Heather McCurry, Kelly Peterson, Erin Wright and Beth St. Clair also scored for the Wildcats.
In the Golden West League:
Ocean View 4, Westminster 0--Kim Engesser scored three goals for sixth-ranked Ocean View (13-1-2, 4-0) at Westminster. Engesser has 24 goals this season.
In the Pacific Coast League:
Estancia 2, Laguna Beach 1--Allison Denton’s goal in the 73rd minute broke a 1-1 tie for Estancia (2-11-2, 2-1-1). Stephanie Kyle scored for Laguna Beach (5-7-1, 1-2-1).
Laguna Hills 6, Costa Mesa 0--Carrie Geyer, Karine Inoue, Jill Tibbitts, Ashley Olivieri, Natalie Moore, Regina Kaylor and Kelly Harrison scored for Laguna Hills (7-7-2, 3-2). Costa Mesa is 7-7 overall, 3-2 in league.
In the South Coast League:
Mater Dei 0, Capistrano Valley 0--Amanda Fox had four saves for Mater Dei (9-5-4, 2-0-2) and Shawna Draper had seven saves for Capistrano Valley (11-4-2, 0-1-1).
In the Sunset League:
Marina 5, Edison 0--Jessica Lyon had a goal and two assists for top-ranked Marina (10-0-1, 2-0-1).
Fountain Valley 1, Esperanza 1--Heather Nelson scored a first-half goal for unranked Esperanza (10-4-4, 0-1-2), then Heidi Denton scored the tying goal with five minutes remaining in the first half for the seventh-ranked Barons (14-1-3, 1-0-2).
In Sunset League field hockey:
Santiago 7, Newport Harbor 0--Ivonne Monroy scored three goals and Cossette Barona recorded her 13th shutout for first-place Santiago (16-2-2, 8-0).
