In another Golden State Athletic Conference men’s basketball game:
Concordia 76, Biola 70--Concordia increased its winning streak to 13 games by outscoring Biola, 43-37, in the second half. Craig Martin scored 21 points and Pharoah Jones had 17 points and 11 rebounds for Concordia (17-1, 2-0). Corey Reeder had 24 points for Biola (6-11, 0-2).
In Golden State Athletic Conference women’s basketball:
Concordia 65, Biola 49--Kristin Weddick scored 12 points and Michelle Kravik and Camilla Jonzen each scored 11 to lead host Concordia (11-7, 1-0).
In nonconference women’s basketball:
Chapman 68, UC San Diego 67--Melody Earle scored 19 points, Shawn Parkinson scored 12 points and Alana Conyers added 10 points and nine rebounds to lead host Chapman (8-6).
Southern California College 77, The Master’s 43--Heather Woodruff scored 17 points to lead the Vanguards (8-7) to their third consecutive victory.
In men’s tennis:
UC Irvine 7, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo 0--Senior Chris Tontz and sophomore Marc Tardiff won in straight sets at Nos. 1 and 2 singles for host UC Irvine, ranked 37th in the nation.
At the Wyoming Invitational wrestling tournament:
Fullerton fourth--The Titans had three second-place finishes and scored 34.5 points. Wyoming won the tournament with 94.5 points. Shane Kim (126 pounds), Jason Roberts (150) and Jonathan Reyes (177) finished second for Fullerton.
