For dedicated gardeners, here are suggestions from the California Assn. of Nurserymen on what to do in the garden this week:
* Move house plants that need lots of light closer to light source while days are short.
* Camellias are at their peak so buy now. They bloom best when planted in spots sheltered from strong sun and dry winds.
* Rake up leaves and debris from lawn so a build-up won’t flatten the grass.
* Plant artichokes when soil has had a chance to dry out a little. Fill a hole with one part humus and two parts soil. Plant with buds at surface and add mulch after growth starts.
