19 File Papers to Run in Inglewood

Nineteen people have filed papers with the Inglewood City Clerk’s office to run for office in the April 4 election.
Both City Council incumbents whose seats are up for election, Jose Fernandes and Garland Hardeman, are seeking another term.
Challenging Fernandes for the 3rd District seat are Michael Stevens and Mary Bueno-Flores.
Challenging Hardeman for his 4th District seat are: Lewis Lester, Almeda Thomas, Virgil Benson, Ervin Thomas and Lillian Sambrano.
School board incumbents Lois Hill Hale and Loystene Irvin are also running again.
Challenging Hill Hale, who is the school board president, for Seat 4 are Nathaniel Harrison, Eveline Ross, Gloria Dean Gray and Elizabeth Khoury.
Challenging Irvin for Seat 5 is James Khoury, who is Elizabeth Khoury’s father.
City Clerk Hermanita Harris will face Nzinga Owolo, and City Treasurer Wanda Brown is running unopposed.
