Saddleback, Freshman
Basketball/Center
Dickson, from Inglewood Morningside High, has spent much of the season as a reserve for Saddleback. But she became a starter last week when the Gauchos lost forward Shannon Nelson because of an ankle injury. Dickson’s first Orange Empire Conference game as a starter was one she will long remember. She had a season-high 22 points, six rebounds and two blocked shots as the Gauchos beat Rancho Santiago in overtime, 65-63. She added four points and seven rebounds in a 63-39 loss to Golden West.
Basketball
Katie Miner
* Golden West, sophomore. Miner had a season-high 20 rebounds as Golden West beat Orange Coast, 59-58.
