Aircraft Lessor Places Big Engine Order: International Lease Finance Corp., a major commercial jet leasing firm, ordered engines valued at $300 million from CFM International to power 23 of the 30 twin-engine jetliners that ILFC recently ordered from Airbus Industrie. CFM is a joint venture of General Electric Co.’s aircraft engine group and Snecma of France. Separately, Century City-based ILFC named Alan H. Lund and John L. Plueger as executive vice presidents and chief operating officers. Lund also remains chief financial officer of ILFC, which is a unit of American International Group Inc.
