Airbus Lands Big Order: International Lease Finance Corp., a major commercial jetliner leasing company based in Beverly Hills, placed firm orders for 30 single-aisle jets built by Airbus Industrie of Europe. ILFC, a unit of American International Group Inc., ordered eight A319s, 13 A320s and nine A321s. The company also took an option on 10 additional Airbus planes. The value of the deal was not disclosed, though the sticker price for the firm orders totals $1.4 billion. However, major buyers such as ILFC--which is Airbus’ biggest customer--often negotiate discounted packages that include spare parts and aircraft training.
