LAGUNA BEACH : Work to Begin on Ocean Avenue Sewer

Parts of Ocean Avenue will be closed at times in January while the city installs a new sewer line.
The work, scheduled to begin Tuesday, is necessary to replace a deteriorated sewer line on the north side of Ocean Avenue near South Coast Highway. The new sewer line will be connected to an existing line near Ocean and Forest avenues, according to city officials.
Any necessary traffic detours will be clearly marked, and property owners in the area will be notified by mail of the construction schedule.
City officials said the project had been scheduled for November but was postponed until after the holidays at the request of businesses and property owners.
