COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Golden West Women Rally to Beat Chaffey

Julie Murdent scored 25 points and had 13 rebounds as Golden West rallied in the second half to defeat Chaffey, 72-64, in a nonconference women’s game Thursday night at Golden West.
The Rustlers (12-4) trailed, 36-26, at halftime, but held Chaffey (9-8) to 27% field-goal shooting in the second half. Katie Miner added 15 points and 10 rebounds for Golden West.
Aimee Pina led Chaffey with 19 points.

Compton 80, Orange Coast 75--The Pirates were outscored, 56-49, in the second half after leading by two at halftime. Rico Blanden led Orange Coast (7-6) with 17 points, but the Pirates made only 13 of 23 shots from the free-throw line.
