City Donates $5,000 for Literacy Program
The Ventura County Library Services Agency has received a $5,000 grant from the city of Moorpark to continue the city’s local adult literacy program.
The money will be used to contract with a professional reading specialist to coordinate the tutoring program for one year, library officials said.
The adult literacy program offers free one-to-one tutoring for people age 18 or older who want to improve their reading and writing skills.
