Alun Owen; Wrote “A Hard Day’s Night” Film

Alun Owen, 69, who received an Academy Award nomination for the screenplay of the Beatles film “A Hard Day’s Night.” The film was one of only three film credits for Owen, who was mainly a writer for television and radio. He began his career as an actor in regional repertory companies, and had a small role in the 1959 film “I’m All Right Jack.” On Tuesday in London.
