COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Concordia Beats Division I Northern Arizona

Pharoh Jones scored 16 points to lead five Concordia players in double figures as the Eagles, who compete in NAIA, defeated host Northern Arizona, a Division I team, 73-67, in a men’s basketball game Thursday.
Jeff Putnam and Sam Sabbara each scored 14 points, and Craig Martin and Tarik James each scored 13 for Concordia (5-1).
John Rondeno led Northern Arizona (1-4) with 16 points.
In other nonconference men’s basketball:
Pacific Christian 106, American Indian 81--Chuck Henderson scored 32 points and Charles Ross had 26 for visiting PCC (8-5).
Brady Rivers scored 30 points to lead American Indian (4-2).
In nonconference women’s basketball:
San Francisco 84, Cal State Fullerton 58--The Titans were outscored, 47-28, in the second half after trailing by only seven at halftime. Koko Lahanas had 16 points and 11 rebounds for Fullerton (1-2).
Chapman 69, Occidental 67--Melody Earle scored 16 points and three other players had 10 points for visiting Chapman (2-3), which snapped a three-game losing streak. Jennifer Kunz had 30 points to lead Occidental.
