SIMI VALLEY : Car Runs Light, Hits Pedestrians, Vehicles

A car running a red light in Simi Valley plowed through a busy intersection hitting three other cars and three pedestrians Thursday afternoon, police said.
No one was seriously injured when Manuel Raul Amavisca Jr., 38, of Moorpark, ran the light at Errigner Road and Los Angeles Avenue in central Simi Valley, according to police reports.
Amavisca’s four-wheel-drive pickup truck collided with two cars, spun out, hit three pedestrians and hit a third car before coming to a rest. Two of the pedestrians suffered broken arms.
Amavisca was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.
